I blogged about Mapguide Maestro before highlighting its benefits to current Mapguide users. For those new to Mapguide technology it is simply web-based mapping using an open source platform. The benefit of using Maestro as your authoring tool is it allows you to quickly create mapguide sites using a intuitive user interface rather than having to code. The main enhancement is including the ability to create thematic layers, this was one of the biggest differentiators between Maestro and Mapguide Studio as authoring tools.
